If this is where you are at, or if you are simply wanting to tap into your passion for play therapy with a basics course, this webinar is for you! 

This workshop offers an overview of the history, theory, and foundations of play therapy. We will discuss the basics for getting started in play therapy. We'll also discuss the importance of multicultural competence, knowledge, and skills, in play therapy. 

This workshop will have two 15-minute breaks and one 30-minute break. 

Learning Objectives

  1. Delineate the difference between using play in therapy and play therapy 
  2. Describe the difference between directive and non-directive play therapy 
  3. Discuss multicultural aspects of play therapy 
  4. Describe three evidence-based play therapy techniques
  5. Describe how to set up a playroom 
  6. Discuss the historical evaluation of play therapy
