Build skills and confidence in using sand tray in play therapy with couples and families.
Sand tray is a powerful therapeutic tool often used in play therapy. It is popular with play therapists because it harnesses a number of the therapeutic powers of play. Among them: Communication. What's the number one complaint that couples bring to therapy? Communication.
Sand tray gives couples and families a language to express themselves. It helps to bypass the verbal filters around topics that may seem taboo, yet present as ready to be discussed. Additionally, sand tray offers a language for those events that seem beyond the capacity of words--trauma.
This six-hour workshop on using sand tray in play therapy with couples and families will help participants learn to work with common topics and boundary issues that may come up in sessions.
Learn to use sand tray both for assessment and treatment with couples and families.
