Group Play Therapy for Kids

Play therapy is a widely researched therapeutic modality used to support children’s growth and development while addressing a number of emotional and behavioral concerns. Group play therapy offers opportunities to work on social skills and boundaries with peers while in a therapeutic setting. Group play therapy also can be a more affordable options for some families. Also, group play therapy allows the play therapist to support more children with the powers of play therapy.

This play therapy group for children focuses on three areas particularly impacted by recent responses to covid-19:

  1. social skills
  2. emotional regulation
  3. anxiety/behavior issues

Group Therapy for Teens

Day of Week: Thursdays

 

Time: 4-5:30 PM Pacific

Fee: $95 per session

Dr. Keller incorporates redecision therapy, sand tray therapy, expressive arts, and some elements of play therapy into group therapy with teens. These therapeutic modalities invite awareness and communication of thoughts and feelings, leading to greater insight and behavior change.

Group therapy for teens leverages teens’ natural desire to connect with peers as they explore, discover, and delight in who they are becoming.

This group will focus on the development of social skills and emotional literacy to address academic stress, anxiety, and healthy boundary setting.

Group Therapy for Adults

Day of Week: Wednesdays

Time: 11 AM to 12:30 PM

Fee: $95 per session

In this group, Dr. Keller uses redecision therapy, sand tray therapy, gestalt therapy, transactional analysis, and expressive arts to invite exploration of thoughts and feelings related to grief, trauma, and life transitions.

Life transitions include bereavement, divorce, job change, moves, aging, etc.
